FAQ
(cont.)
4. Am I allowed to tan while I'm pregnant
No. You should not tan while you are pregnant unless your doctor permits it. Tanning units produce heat. Excess heat can be harmful to the pregnancy and can cause complications. Also, women in advanced pregnancy could experience difficulty using tanning equipment because most units are too small or cramped for a mother close to delivery. Tanning, however, does not affect tissues below the surface of the skin, including a developing unborn baby.

5. Does indoor tanning cause skin cancer?
Over exposure to UV light (whether indoors or outdoors) can cause skin cancer if it was done continuously and excessivsely. It is recommended that all UV exposure from any source is done moderately and everyone should always avoid a sunburn. The tanning industry research shows that indoor tanners are much less likely to sunburn indoors than non-tanners, which may actually reduce a tanner's risk of some kinds of skin cancer.

6. Do tanning lotions really work?
Using indoor tanning lotions will help you tan faster while they moisturize and nourish your skin. With many lotions now having anti-aging and firming formulas, your skin will look and feel greater than ever.
